Common Support Issues
  1. E-mail set-up on my cell phone

  2. My e-mail is very slow while sending and retrieving
    • If you find your internet connection is also slow, the problem is most likely with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Please contact them regarding this issue.

  3. When I retrieve my e-mail, I receive multiple copies of the same e-mail.
    • If when pulling mail at times you get multiple copies make sure you do not have your email client to check for mail every 1 or two minutes. Recommend time is 5 minutes. If pulling large files down, you may want to increase beyond 5 minutes.

  4. I can retrieve my email, but I can not send it.
    • Authentication Enabled
For added security, we require our e-mail users to enable authentication to our server when sending e-mail. Netscape versions 6 and above do not require this setting to be enabled. Please consult the following help doc for instructions to enable the setting. :
    • Your ISP is blocking your outgoing email
Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may not allow you to use your domain's outgoing e-mail server when sending e-mail. There are two options you can try:

      1. You can change the SMTP port that your mail client uses to send mail to port 587. Please consult the following help docs for instructions to change this setting. :
      2. If changing your port does not correct the problem you will have to change your outgoing e-mail server setting to your ISPs mail server. Please contact your ISP for this information.

Several of our clients have experienced outgoing e-mail blocking by Mindspring / Earthlink and SBC DSL.

      • If you switch your outgoing mail server to your ISP's server setting, you may have to deselect the My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication option from your account settings. Please see above for further information on authentication settings.
